Barefoot Back-to-School Shoe Haul

Some of the best shoes for kids are Vivo Barefoot shoes. Different varieties and styles. A unique minimalist barefoot shoe.

I wanted to go through my haul of Vivo barefoot shoes I got for my kids for school starting. So I'm only going to go over the Vivo barefoot shoes because they tend to be our favorite with the different styles. My kids are about to go to private school next year. And so that's a big deal because they often have to wear formal shoes.

Luckily, ours does not require it; they only need it, but I know they will need formal shoes for church and whatnot. Let's start with my son, who is seven, and about to be a second grader. I adore these shoes. They're leather, and they have one little Velcro strap. There's like a mesh kind of thing. My son had a double velcro version of this in Kindergarten; he wore them out until they were like holes in the back, and they were terrific. So these were considered his dress shoes.

It is so cute that they will have a Mary Jane version next year, which my daughter will love. She’s going to be in Kindergarten. She has these in the smaller size and wears them all the time. Same thing with one Velcro strap. Pretty much all leather. It doesn't have the stretchy around it, but she doesn't need it as much. She also wears these without socks because she doesn't even need them because a lot of these shoes my kids don't wear socks with them because you don't need there's no breaking in process. So super cute. I got her the same pair as her brother, just kike the little version of them, but I don't think she likes them style-wise. I think she thinks they look too boyish.

Best Shoes For Low-Volume Feet

My son has the Primus trails. I love them. They're so cute. His favorite color is turquoise. Like, how cute is this? The kid still can't tie his shoes because they keep giving us these great toggles, and it has a perfect base. So I got in the next size because Vivos tend to sell out and then run out of this style. So I always try to buy a size up when, especially if there's ever a sale. But these will be the shoes that he'll probably wear day in and day out.

For the next pair, I went fancy and tried to get my kids this new Primus knit. It's in a zinc color. It's super cute, but I don't know if it was just this stuff, but they're gaping a little, and even though they're the right size for my kids, they were just gigantic. So I will most likely return both of these. I got one for my daughter and one for my son. I love them, but this tongue thing isn’t my favorite because it's out of elastic, unlike a firm or stiffer faux leather.

My kids have low-volume feet, which aren’t fluffy. They're skinny. And so these are just too wide, but I think these will be great for people with fuller volume feet, especially for kiddos. And then I like that myself. I got myself sneakers that are so cute. I got them in my usual size nine. I think they're probably a little too big, so I just ordered the size eight, and we'll see if they're coming from wherever we order these from, far away. Customs but same toggle. Same sort of plasticky thing. This style will run big in most shoes, but super cute.

So I will see what size down will be like, and I'll keep you posted. But anyways, that's my haul. Hopefully, it will help you when you're back to school shopping.
